About Us
The summer of 2000 saw the birth of a new Fine Arts Program in Bartlesville with the premier production of Children's Musical Theatre of Bartlesville.
It was truly a "Cinderella" story as a small group of people with a desire to see a children's theatre program in our hometown banded together to do what many thought impossible.
With the support of a large group of creative, hard working volunteers, the productions of Cinderella in 2000, The Wizard of Oz in 2001, Bye, Bye Birdie in 2002, The Sound of Music in 2003, Peter Pan in 2004, Annie in 2005, Beauty and the Beast in 2006, Oliver in 2007, High School Musical in 2008, The Wizard of Oz in 2009, The Music Man in 2010, and Annie Get Your Gun in 2011 were outstanding performances of full-scale musicals, complete with quality vocal and orchestra music, special effects, beautiful sets, realistic costuming, challenging choreography and top-notch character portrayals. Willy Wonka is the 2012 musical scheduled for July 12-14 at the Bartlesville Community Center.
Those who attend our shows are always impressed with the quality of work children are capable of when given professional instruction and theatrical support.
To be eligible to audition for our summer production, kids must be Grades 2-10 at the time of the audition. Other workshops and performance opportunities are open to a variety of ages, depending on the program.
Mission Statement: Enriching the lives of youth by providing quality musical theatre performance and educational opportunities.
